Folklore is a site-specific installation by Jessica Pope (American, B. 1983) for the 2019 iteration of Telfair Museums’ annual Boxed In/Break Out project, a museum-sponsored opportunity that invites artists to propose an original installation of artwork to invigorate the six large windows along the east side of the Jepson Center on Barnard Street.

The Museum is pleased to welcome Saya Woolfalk, the New York-based artist who uses science fiction and fantasy to re-imagine the world in multiple dimensions, according to her bio.

The installation draws inspiration from regional visionary artist Eddie Owens Martin, aka St. EOM, and will feature work in porcelain made during Woolfalk’s Arts/Industry residency at the Kohler Company factory in 2018.
